Chloe Franklin wouldn’t call herself a commitment-phobe, so much as she’s allergic to anything long term. She loves the sexy, sweaty, and intensely hot hours of the night that come before the sun rises, though. Especially when those nights are spent with Search-and-Rescuer Gage McGraw...
Gage loves his job, but there is one thing he’s starting to like more than the rush of a mission—a stacked blonde with a mouth that haunts his dreams. Every time he steps foot in the sleepy town of Beaufort, he hooks up with Chloe. But he’s tired of hooks-ups. He wants more.
Just the sight of Gage gets Chloe's blood going. Hot, bothered, and finally naked, she’s ready for their night to start. But before he takes her, he whispers what his intentions really are…and then the games really begin.
After thoroughly enjoying Joya Ryan’s Chasing Love series, I was excited to learn she was writing a new series. I had pretty high hopes for Tell Me You Need Me and they were all exceeded. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what’s next in her new Search and Seduce series! (East and Natalie, please?!)
Tell Me You Need Me was a short, quick and sexy read about a woman who isn’t looking for anything series and a guy who wants it all. I read a lot of romance, so any time you can switch things up and give me a little something different, I’m a big fan. So many times it’s the woman who wants more and the guy who is looking for casual. I loved the role reversal here. I love when a guy wears his heart on his sleeve and isn’t afraid to put himself out there. That was Gage through and through. Not only is he is this sexy ex-military man who is now a civilian search and rescue team member, he’s got a dirty mouth and a big heart. There’s no way I couldn’t like him.
It did take a little longer for me to warm up to Chloe though. Don’t get me wrong, I liked her from the start. She was just a little cold for me at first. As more about her past became known, I felt like I understood her better. I got where she was coming from and why she was guarding her heart. I did love watching Gage pound through those walls though. (And not just in the dirty way.)
The Search and Seduce series started off with a bang with Tell Me You Need Me. For a short book, there was some great character development and growth. The chemistry between Gage and Chloe was smoking hot. The sexy times were such that I needed a fan and I got a nice little dose of feels from it, too. I’m definitely intrigued by the secondary characters – did I mention East and Natalie?! – and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.
