“You need a good guy. A long-term guy. One who does dates and romance and emotional strings…I’m just an asshole who wants to tie you up, make you come, and walk away.”
Samuel Bradshaw is a man with a reputation—the kind of reputation that should have me running the other way. Instead, it has me searching for the shortest distance to his bed. I won’t be the starry-eyed girl who thinks she can change a man like Sam, and despite what he thinks, forever is not what I need. I need the things he makes me feel, the way he turns me on, and the promise of pleasure in his eyes. I need SOMETHING WILD.
It’s a safe bet that any time Lexi Ryan has a new series launching, I’m going to be all over it. I love everything about her writing – from the characters to the romance to the sexy times and even the totally *wicked* cliffys she leaves us with after each new book. I snagged this FREE* novella (*at time of posting) as soon as I heard about it and if you’re thinking about reading the Reckless & Real series, you should do the same. After reading the first full-length book in the series, I can’t say it’s *required* reading before the series, but it certainly helps introduce the characters and the back story.
Something Wild is hot. It’s a quick read with a likable heroine (who is actually the twin sister of the main character in Lexi’s Here & Now series) and a smoking hot, dirty talkin’ hero with commitment issues. Liz and Sam have known each other for years and travel in the same circle of friends. They have an undeniable chemistry and they’re sick of fighting their attraction. The sexual tension is thick and, when it all explodes, it is scorching hot (and a little dirty)… just how I like my books.
This novella was the perfect tease of what’s to come. I’ve read the first book, Something Reckless, and it was incredible. I devoured both of these books, back to back, in a matter of mere hours. I couldn’t have stopped if I wanted to. Lexi has a way of completely ensnaring you in a story and holding on until the very last page. If you’re a new adult fan, you need to be reading this series.
