Winterfest is heating up in Abbott Springs...
Everly Abbott has always been the outcast of Abbott Springs. With her pink hair, rock band, and bad reputation, she left her wholesome hometown behind as soon as she graduated high school. But now she'll have to return to the one place she swore she'd never play to perform at Winterfest.
She wants to acceptance. Approval. Closure.
But her best friend and bandmate, Justin Cohen, is about to show her that what she thinks she wants isn't necessarily what she needs.
*This is a New Adult romance and contains mature adult language and sexual situations. 17+
**Originally appeared in All I Ever Wanted: An Abbott Springs Anthology. This version contains a bonus epilogue.
One of my favorite things about this time of the year is the abundance of holiday novellas. If you’re looking for a sweet and sexy one, Caisey Quinn’s All I Need should be at the top of your list. I originally read and reviewed this story last year as part of the All I Ever Wanted anthology, but I jumped at the chance to reread it and review it on its own this year after it was released as a standalone.
I loved each of the stories in the original anthology, but All I Need was my favorite. I’m a sucker for friends-to-lovers stories and this one is one of the best I’ve read. It may be a short story, but it’s big on feels. Justin and Everly have been best friends forever, but recently things have shifted between them. Neither of them knows how to handle this because they don’t want to risk the chance of ruining their friendship if things go badly. Now they’re back in their hometown, and their band is getting a chance to perform in front of everyone they know during Winterfest. It’s a time of high stress for both Justin and Everly, but for different reasons. All bets are off though. If you can’t be honest about your feelings at Christmas, when can you be? Justin and Everly were both easy for me to connect with and root for. I loved their story the first time I read it and even more the second time around. It warmed my heart.
Whether you check this story out as a standalone or as part of the All I Ever Wanted anthology, just do yourself a favor and read it. Set against the backdrop of Winterfest, this story is romantic, sexy and perfect to help warm you up on those cold winter nights. And, psssssst, there’s an extra-special epilogue at the end of this story in the standalone version that is guaranteed to make you all melty inside. So sweet.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
