What if you would never remember the day you made the most important decision of your life?
That’s what they’re telling me about the day of my accident—the day I put on Max’s ring and chose him over Nate. I’m counting on the wisdom behind a decision I don’t remember making.
Max is amazing—sexy, sweet, and kind. I was starting to believe happily-ever-after might be in my future after all. Then the unthinkable happened and my world imploded. If I’m going to make this work with Max, I need my missing memories, or at least answers from about those five days before my accident.
But what does my future hold if those answers aren’t anything like I imagined?
It is so difficult to review this book and not spoil the first two books in the series for everyone. So, proceed with caution if you’ve not yet started this series yet.
I was so, so anxious to get my hands on this book, especially with the way Fall to You ended. Holy crap. I dove right in and didn’t stop until I’d finished it. Now, I’m not going to tell you what happens or who finally comes out on top in the battle for Hanna’s heart, but I personally couldn’t have been happier. I had VERY clear thoughts about who she truly belonged with – and I think I did a pretty good job of keeping them to myself while reviewing the first two books, so hopefully that statement wasn’t spoilery. All the loose ends are tied up, mysteries solved and my OTP came together in a way that melted my heart. I don’t think I would’ve been able to accept any ending other than the one I got. I was that invested. But, let me tell you this, Lexi draws it out and really makes you guess what will happen when it’s all said and done!
Some people might knock the emergence of serials like this one, but I’m a huge fan. I thoroughly enjoy my drama and sexy times in small doses and, even though I tend to whine about it, I do love the sting of a good cliffhanger. That is, when I don’t have to wait a year or more between installments. That’s where this type of serial is superior to a regular series. The wait is manageable. I don’t forget details of the story or how I feel about everything. I’ll take everything in bite-sized bits like this on a monthly basis ANYTIME. Especially when it’s a series that’s as well-written as this one.
All for This gives the Here and Now series a perfect conclusion. I will miss these characters, but I know there’s another series on the way (HOORAY!) and I hope to see more of them all in it. To quote my comments on Goodreads upon finishing this book, “All the swoony sighs. This was perfect.”
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
