Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

If I’m being honest, Jennifer L. Armentrout could rewrite the dictionary and I’d find a way to fall in love with it. Whether she’s writing YA or NA, contemporary or paranormal, I just love her writing. Her characters are fantastic and easy to connect with. She writes like I think, so I find myself completely wrapped up in her books. Wait For Me was no exception. With humor and heart (and some serious sexiness), she gives us the story of Avery and Cam.

Avery had baggage. A lot of it. She had been through a lot and isn’t looking for a relationship. She’s certainly not looking for someone like Cam. But, a chance meeting throws them into each others paths and thus their story begins. They find out they’re neighbors, they forge a friendship which, thanks to their chemistry and attraction, slowly begins to become something more.

Cam. Oh, Cam. Has there ever been a more swoon-worthy male character in a new adult book? He’s top five for sure. What’s not to love about Cam? He’s gorgeous, protective, sweet. He bakes! I want some of Cam’s cookies. 😉 I spent this entire book swooning over Cam and yelling at Avery to forget the past, forget her rules, and give him a shot.

This book was of the “feel all the feels” type. There were ups and downs, secrets and revelations, humor and sexiness. I connected with these characters nearly immediately and i was 100% invested in their stories. Both Avery and Cam were likable characters and their interactions were fantastic. They were perfection together. If only Avery would give in and go with it! I found myself more than a little frustrated with her at times, even though I completely understood where she was coming from, but that didn’t make me like her any less. If anything, it just made the book more realistic.

About Jennifer L. Armentrout

# 1 New York Times and # 1 International Bestselling author Jennifer lives in Charles Town, West Virginia. All the rumors you’ve heard about her state aren’t true. When she’s not hard at work writing. she spends her time reading, watching really bad zombie movies, pretending to write, hanging out with her husband and her Jack Russell Loki. In early 2015, Jennifer was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a group of rare genetic disorders that involve a breakdown and death of cells in the retina, eventually resulting in loss of vision, among other complications.  Due to this diagnosis, educating people on the varying degrees of blindness has become of passion of hers, right alongside writing, which she plans to do as long as she can.

I adored this book and still do. I love how you said this book has all sorts of feels. It’s true and it’s what kept the book interesting.
