WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for a midweek reading round up, as I talk about what I’m currently reading, what I just finished and what I’ve added to my TBR.

What I'm currently reading

WWW Wednesday [70]Bourbon Sins by Meghan Quinn
Series: Bourbon #1
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: October 5, 2017
Publisher: Self-Published
Add it: Goodreads
Buy it: Amazon

On the streets of New Orleans, sins are committed every night.

My name is Jett Colby and I save tarnished souls.

In the downtown, under the glittery lights of Bourbon Street, I found her in cheap lingerie, flaunting her body for callous men and money.

From the lace of her cheap lingerie, to her garter belt, I knew she had to be saved.
She had to be mine.

Broke and destitute with no way of out, she had no choice but to come to me and into my club.

She had no other choice but to become a Jett Girl.

But see, that’s the thing about this city; you might think that under the dazzling lights and illusion of salvation, she’s the one that needed saving.

When the glitter fades and the dirt is washed away, the one worth saving just might be me.

I’ve become a big fan of Meghan Quinn’s books over the last few months. No one does romantic comedy quite like her. I was thrilled to get review copies of each book in her Bourbon series, a repackaging of her Jett Girl series, because I hadn’t made it that far on her backlist yet. This is a totally different type of MQ book for me, but I’m enjoying it. In fact, I stayed up way past bedtime reading last night…

What I just finished reading

WWW Wednesday [70]The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: February 29, 2016
Publisher: Self-Published
673 pages

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary.

But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

For two years, the man known as The Wall of Winnipeg couldn't find it in him to tell her good morning or congratulate her on her birthday. Now? He's asking for the unthinkable.

What do you say to the man who is used to getting everything he wants?

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is easily one of my all-time favorite books. The last couple months, I’ve been itching for (another) reread of it and I’m glad I decided to give in. I swear, I love this book more each time I read it. Vanessa and Aiden are everything.

What I recently added to my TBR

WWW Wednesday [70]Played by Jen Frederick

She's been playing it close...

Ara Martin and college football star Ty Masters have been best friends since the first day of school when Ty literally ran her over. She fell for him immediately, but having lived under the shadow of her famous father, she knows a relationship with irresistible Ty would only end in heartbreak. For four years, she’s kept her feelings hidden. But one drunken encounter weeks before graduation is about to expose Ara’s biggest secret and destroy her most treasured relationship.

He’s been playing for keeps…

Ty is about to be drafted into the NFL, but his personal life is a mess. He’s got an agent he doesn’t like, a brother who can’t stop offering his opinion, and a beautiful woman he craves but can’t have. He can fire his agent and ignore his brother, but he’s not sure what to do about Ara. Ty’s been able to run down every quarterback he’s faced, but his sexy, stubborn best friend keeps slipping through his fingers.

Luckily, he's not one for giving up, and once he gets his hands on her, he's never letting go.

I just one-clicked Played this week. I love Jen’s books — and the Gridiron series — so I can’t wait to read this book. It’s also worth noting the entire Gridiron series is on sale for 99¢ each this week only, if you’ve not yet read it. A whole series for under $4? Don’t pass that up!
