My TBR List

My TBR List is quickly becoming one of my favorite memes! There are SO MANY books hanging out on my TBR that it’s almost overwhelming to decide what to read next. Plus, I think it pairs quite nicely with my TBR Thursday posts, so BONUS!

Here’s what to expect:

  • First Saturday of the month: book choices and poll posted
  • Second Saturday of the month: winning book announcement posted
  • Last Saturday of the month: review posted

I hope you’ll play along and vote!

Since I’m in the middle of ARC-tober, I decided to pull this month’s options from my “long overdue” ARCs shelf. There’s also an unintended heart theme… and a J-named author one… with these three books. 🙂

Now, help me decide which one it’ll be!

Everything about Jessie is wrong. At least, that’s what it feels like during her first week of junior year at her new ultra-intimidating prep school in Los Angeles. Just when she’s thinking about hightailing it back to Chicago, she gets an email from a person calling themselves Somebody/Nobody (SN for short), offering to help her navigate the wilds of Wood Valley High School. Is it an elaborate hoax? Or can she rely on SN for some much-needed help?

It’s been barely two years since her mother’s death, and because her father eloped with a woman he met online, Jessie has been forced to move across the country to live with her stepmonster and her pretentious teenage son.

In a leap of faith—or an act of complete desperation—Jessie begins to rely on SN, and SN quickly becomes her lifeline and closest ally. Jessie can’t help wanting to meet SN in person. But are some mysteries better left unsolved?

Beatrix Adams knows exactly how she’s spending the summer before her senior year. Determined to follow in Da Vinci’s footsteps, she’s ready to tackle the one thing that will give her an advantage in a museum-sponsored scholarship contest: drawing actual cadavers. But when she tries to sneak her way into the hospital’s Willed Body program and misses the last metro train home, she meets a boy who turns her summer plans upside down.

Jack is charming, wildly attractive, and possibly one of San Francisco’s most notorious graffiti artists. On midnight buses and city rooftops, Beatrix begins to see who Jack really is—and tries to uncover what he’s hiding that leaves him so wounded. But will these secrets come back to haunt him? Or will the skeletons in her family’s closet tear them apart?

  1. I probably should have stuck with ARC’s for the month. Goodness knows I need to work through mine. But of course I didn’t. Maybe next month. All of your choices sound great, Kim. I can’t even vote based on best cover because I like the sound of them all. I am going to go with The Anatomical Shape of a Heart, I think. I hope you enjoy whichever wins! Have a great weekend.
